Install and uninstall
A site admin installs Intake Standards for the whole Atlassian site. Installing changes nothing for requesters: no work type is checked until a project admin enables a standard for it.
Installing
A site admin installs the app from the Atlassian Marketplace. From then on, project admins find the Intake standards page under Project settings, and the Intake details field can be added to request forms. Getting started takes a project admin through the first work type.
What installing adds
- The Intake details field, for request forms and create screens.
- The Intake standards page under Project settings, open to project admins.
- A trigger on work item creation, which copies the text into an empty Description and labels requests that did not pass.
- Access to Atlassian-hosted AI (Forge LLMs), through which the app judges the text.
What the app asks Jira for, and why, is on Security.
Updates
Minor releases reach installed sites automatically. A release that asks for new permissions waits until a site admin accepts it. Release notes lists what each release brings.
Pausing instead
To stop checking a work type for a while, disable its standard instead of uninstalling. The version is kept, and you can enable it again. See Disabling a standard.
Uninstalling
- The Intake details field and its values are removed. They return if the app is reinstalled within 30 days.
- Atlassian keeps the app's hosted storage, every standard and run log row, for 28 days and does not restore it automatically on reinstall. A recovery request must reach Atlassian within 21 days.
- Text the app copied into Description, and the labels, internal notes and issue properties it wrote, are ordinary Jira data and stay on the work items.
- Keep a copy of your enabled checks in your project's own documentation before you uninstall.
